How represented are you…reallllly?

Posted by Brusky Campaign, in News

Three Lorain County Commissioners are supposed to represent you. Do they? Have they come to your community and provided your mayor, council and you, the taxpayer of their salaries,  with any information as it relates to your city;part of Lorain County? In this day of super technology, emails, websites, newspapers and even telephones and general mail have the present Lorain County Commissioners reported to you on their tax and spend policies? (Let’s not count the radio spots and bus billboard advertising them).  Lorain County Commissioners are like gerbils in a cage. They continue to spin their wheels round and round without positive results. Where is a plan for Lorain County? This is not the time to put out fires. This is not the time for pricey engineer studies with hopes and  promises of  a glamorous  seven star complex before contracts are signed. This is not the time to cut bus service for those who need transportation to work and college. This is not the time to cut safety forces.  Lorain County needs a master plan for jobs, roads, to bring business and clean industry to Lorain County and to eliminate waste and incompetence.  It is time we see a plan and a focus. It is time  we hold the Lorain County Commissioners accountable.

Brusky Backers Needed for Corn Festival Parade.

Posted by admin, in Volunteer Opportunities

What: N. Ridgeville Corn Festival Parade
Where: Line up at Marcs on Center Ridge Road
When: Sunday Aug 10. 2:00 pm
Why: To promote Nick Brusky for County Commissioner
How: Walking in a parade

Dear Friends,

People across the county want change. Last week an article in the Chronicle-Telegram detailed how the county government faces a $6 Million dollar budget shortfall. During his term as commissioner, my opponent has spent our way into this disaster and now he wants to take more of what you have. Last November you sent him the message that you want county government to do more with what we have instead of taking more of what we have by turning down his tax increase by an 80% to 20% margin. We need to send him this message again this November by voting for me to replace him as commissioner.

My message of lower taxes and more effective government has been getting out this summer and Lorain County residents are responding well. Last weekend I received a great response from people at the Wellington Cheese Fesival, and as a bonus I was able to pickup 3 new campaign volunteers. We need to get this message out to more and more people.

You can help get that message out. On Sunday August 10th at 2:00 pm I will be marching in the North Ridgeville Corn Festival parade. We need an army of people wearing my t-shirts to walk with me. Can you come and help out? Please either reply to this message or call me on my cell phone and let me know if you can. Please indicate your t-shirt size in your reply if you do not have one yet.

Thanks for your support. Together we can make Lorain County a better place. For more info on my campaign you can go to www.NickBrusky.com or you can follow me on Facebook or Twitter.

Brusky Backers Summer Events July 14th-20th

Posted by admin, in Volunteer Opportunities, Events, News

I hope you are enjoying your summer. The past few weeks I have been able to meet many voters at events across the county such as the Lorain International Festival. I also want to thank the people who helped me get my message out at the Old Time Jamboree this past weekend too.

I want to be your Commissioner because I know that I can do more with what we have instead of taking more of what you have. After the 80%-20% defeat of the sales tax that my opponent tried to push through, it is clear that voters want to see this kind of change. And, with your help, this kind of change is possible. I need you and anyone else you know to come out to various events across the county to help spread my message of lower taxes and better government.

We are seeking help from volunteers to create a presence at every local event this summer. Although we can’t be everywhere we are hoping that a well-organized effort can really help spread the message that there is a viable option this year for new leadership.

Here are some events coming up this week where you can help out:

* Friday July 18th the campaign will be in Lorain at 6 pm - 10 pm for the Port Fest at Black River Landing.

* Saturday July 19th the campaign will be walking in the Wellington Cheese Festival Parade. Lineup is at 2:00 pm, location TBA. I will also be running in the Cheese Festival 5K which starts at 8:00 am in Wellington. If you are a runner it would be totally awesome if you could join me in the race.

I will be at the cheese festival until 7:00 pm.

At 7:30 I will be going to the Port Fest in downtown Lorain and will be staying until the fireworks.

* Sunday July 20th the campaign will be at the Wellington Cheese Festival from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm

* If you know of any events that you think are crucial to be at please let us know. We would like to be at as many events as possible. We would like to be where our volunteers are and if you have plans to be at an event let us know.

If you are planning on taking your family to anything I would like to ask you to consider wearing a shirt with my name on it. My staff or I will drop them off at your house. If you are interested in taking a more active role I would also be happy to provide you with literature or even candy to pass out. Please do not hesitate to contact me at either this email address or either 440-453-4058.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Truly,
